Leadership , paradigm ...It is Covey's effect.

Leadership , it is a very big word that needs lots of things to exist in each one of us. I had the chance to get some definitions for it not from the books i read about or the e-mail lists that i have but from a true inspiring character , it was Stephen Covey in person.

We all had copies of the "7th habits" the most famous book in the last 10 years with the highest number of copies around the world. And most of us got truly inspired by that book and seme of my friends truly used it as a guide to their own life and it really made a difference to them. The question i used to ask myself was is Covey just a deep analytical mind who observe and then draw the magic links that shorten things. The answer was he is not just that ,he analyzed his life and work on his personal corners and based on that results he started to put theories with action plan. I really felt that when i talke dto him in person and when he made his lecture.

"1st things 1st " was the 1st book i read , then the series continues and now i can admit that my paradigms are there and i am moving between them, trying to have balance.
It is a way of life that i have to master , and it is not easy specially when life is moving so fast.

We all enjoyed the Leadership Bootcamp that took place 8th ,9th of March 2010. you learn alot. and one of the most key speakers was Bob Nelson. This Man can give you the shortest way to make your team Happy , to make your work better. I would recommend the "1001 Way to Engergize Your employee" , i got this book and it is amazing and by it i think you will have no problem to energize your team and yourself , as long as your work enviroment supports you ofcourse. and even if it is not supporting you , the chain reaction will give you the support later on.

I recall some words from the book " The Secret" , if you change your mode , you will produce positive frequencies and in return the mode around you will change, I think this is true. I fyou want to complain , then complain , but to yourself so you release the stress but at the end smile to yourself and to others it will make them smile to you too. One told me a nice advice which is " if you node your head - shack your head or face with agree sign- the person who talks to you will smile and will node too. and this is true.

If you have chance to talk to Steven Covey in person , do it as you will feel that this man is writing what he truly believes and it will give you confidence that you can follow.

I think now i am focusing on the "leave a legacy" paradigm , what is yours ?

Microwaves .... my old passion

Microwaves have been there for more than 70 years , and for sure it will continue. I remember in collage days , my colleges used to consider its exam is the nightmare that been created specifically for any Telecommunication engineer. Although I didn't agree with that but i respected the thought itself- my graduation project was MW so I know exactly what they mean-.I think this was because Microwaves is basically relaying on the deep understanding of higher Mathematics. I used to say that the complexity of higher mathematics modeling needs an applied science to make use of that model , that is where the Microwaves arrives.

The huge improvements in Computers have made the Microwave modeling a true reality , and based on this we now have this revolution of Telecommunications. From UL to MW Frequency there is an invention everyday.

As I can't keep my eye away from the continues updates on the MW i recently have read a very interesting articles about new invention, I think the most interesting one was using the noise as a Radar !.

Do you remember the Noise that in old days we used to work with it and do the best to reduce or eliminate - practically impossible - , Now it is used in a way to draw a full picture of an object. The method relays behind that is every object produces a noise with different patterns when exposed to different spectrum of Radio waves, along with the reflection of of the source waves. So in old days we were interested in the reflected waves - in specific spectrum (the Radar Waves)- and we ignore the noise produced.

Now We are interested on the noise produced , its pattern, its frequency spectrum ,its amplitude and direction. With deep analysis of the noise pattern produced from the object we manage to draw an image of that object and even decided what kind of materials it have.

This might been tackled before but the new in this is that you draw images for objects behind barriers ! yes that is true. The walls that made of cement , the waves penetrates it and the object behind the wall exposes to the waves and then the differences between the noise of the wall and the object will draw the picture of that object.

So based on this can we imagine the applications of that, Will i think the first thing will come to mind is "See across walls & barriers ". So it can be used in rescue missions , in Police, in medicine, and alot more fields than we can imagine.
